Draft – still to be checked by a lawyer

Draft: this text is still being reviewed by a lawyer. Your statutory rights as a consumer always apply, even if something is missing here.

Privacy statement

Which data Arrivi uses, for what, and which rights you have.

Who is responsible?

[to be completed] is responsible for your data on Arrivi. A seller who delivers your order receives your name and delivery address and is responsible for that itself.

Which data and for what?

Account: your e-mail address and name, to sign in and show your orders.

Orders: what you buy, your delivery address and the payment status, to carry out the purchase and hold your money until delivery.

Messages: what you share with a seller or with Arrivi. Contact details in messages are hidden automatically, to prevent fraud.

Payment: through Stripe. Stripe processes your payment details; Arrivi does not see your card number.

We count visits without cookies and without personal data.

Waitlist: if you ask us to keep you posted about a robot, we use your e-mail address only to confirm that and to send the one mail when it can be ordered. The basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the link in each mail.

Choice helper

If you use the smart choice helper, we keep your question, your answers, the advice and your thumbs up or down for 30 days, to improve the choice helper and to see whether its advice is good. We do not keep a name, e-mail address or IP address with it. If you put the recommended robot in your cart, that order line is marked as coming from the choice helper.

Your question and answers are sent to Anthropic (United States), which provides the AI model Claude and processes the data for us as a processor, with the legal safeguards for transfers outside the EU. So please do not write personal data in your question.

To limit the number of advices per day (10 per visitor), the choice helper sets a cookie with a random number that expires after one day. This cookie is necessary for the service to work; we only keep a scrambled (hashed) form of it, for two days.

The same scrambled form is also kept with your advice, for its 30 days, so that only your browser can continue it, rate it or order via it.

Cookies

We only use cookies that are necessary: to keep you signed in and to remember your delivery country. Your cart and wishlist are stored only in your own browser.

If you use the smart choice helper, one more cookie is added for its daily limit (see "Choice helper").

Who do we share data with?

With the seller of your order, with Stripe (payment), Supabase (database and sign-in) and Vercel (hosting). Some of these are US companies; for them we use the legal safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

How long do we keep data?

We keep order and payment data for 7 years, because tax law requires it. We keep your account until you have it deleted. A waitlist sign-up we delete after 7 days if you do not confirm it, and otherwise 12 months after our last mail to you.

Your rights

You may access, correct or delete your data, have its processing restricted, object, and take your data with you. E-mail [to be completed] for this. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the authority in your own country.
